Teddi Silver has been a mineral and fossil collector, as well as a worldwide traveler, for many years. During her travels around the world, she has purchased unique pieces of jewelry which made her decide to start designing her own.
Teddi has been taking silversmith classes at the Center for the Creative Arts in Yorklyn,
DE for the past fifteen years. She also takes workshops in other mediums.
She designs and incorporates cut materials of unusual minerals or fossils into her jewelry. In addition, some of her designs include the bark of Pennsylvania trees that have been
cast into solid sterling silver.
Teddi's jewelry is accompanied by a tag that identifies each gemstone (mineral) and where they can be found in the world. She thinks that "the knowledge that can accompany the piece is as interesting as the piece itself."
Teddi is a member of the Delaware Mineralogical Society, Tuscarora Lapidary Society and the Center for the Creative Arts.
