Starlie Sokol-Hohne was born in 1958 in Santa Monica, CA and completed her studies at UCLA in 1980.
Sokol-Hohne creates visually interesting images combining past and present elements.
She combines images of antiquity with contemporary mixed media printmaking techniques.
Her interest in equestrian riding in the woods and canyons near her home inspires her in the way that Nature is extremely abstract as well as realistic. Sokol-Hohne uses this quiet time to help refresh her creative powers for even greater expression of self fulfillment. Her style is contemporary abstract.
She has been exhibiting nationally since the early 1980s. Her work is held in private, public and corporate collections.
