Deborah Phillips Kuhn received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in graphic design at Tyler School of Art. She spent one semester at Tyler School in Rome, Italy.
Debbie was art director of Tidewater Publishing and Cornell Maritime and has worked as a freelance artist. She is currently Residency Coordinator for the Great Valley Community Education Foundation which produces the Community Arts Series, a series of 12 to 14 musical, dance and theater performances held at the Great Valley High School’s Performing Arts Center.
She is a member of the Art League, Wayne Art Center and Chester County Art Association and exhibits in many regional art show.
Debbie has been painting most of her life. After working in watercolor for over twenty‑five years she made a decision to explore oils and for several years she has concentrated on this medium. “Because the way the materials work is so different, the transition was quite challenging but not without it’s rewards.”
She produced the cover art for the invitation of the French and Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust’s (F&PCCT) Auction Party for over six years. Her most recent piece for the F&PCCT has been use to produce giclee print to raise funds for land conservation.
