Nancy, a resident of Chadds Ford, PA, received her formal training at
Moore College of Art in Philadelphia, PA. She also studied with noted
Chester County artist, Rea Redifer at the Chester County Art Association
in West Chester, PA.
Whether capturing the character of an aging structure,
or celebrating the arrival of spring by depicting the aura of a new
bloom, Nancy hopes to make a sincere attempt at paying homage to the
area she has come to love and respect.
Transforming accurate architectural details and correct
dimensions onto a canvas or paper is not this artist's purpose. Her
ultimate goal is to establish an intimate relationship with the heritage,
mystique, and ever elusive spirit that is "Chester County."
With the sense of artistic energy gained from
her picturesque surroundings, Nancy has been successful in producing
award winning paintings which may be found in numerous galleries and
private collections throughout the United States and abroad. She is
also represented among the permanent acquisitions of many local educational
institutions and in corporate collections including Wilmington Trust
Corporation, Bank of Delaware, Maryland Bank and the Chadds Ford Winery.
