After a career in the music business, Bill discovered painting. A passion and challenge he’s now enjoyed for over 25 years. Self taught, he paints memories and impressions of people, places, pets, events, dreams and nonsense that have shaped his life. His aim is to communicate some information, experience or emotion that will touch the viewer. He works with acrylic for the speed he needs to organize the concept, color and clutter. “Rarely utilizing a central focus, the fun is in discovering the details.”
Bill produces original work for collectors and for licensing prints, posters, puzzles, cards, fabric, etc. He’s illustrated and written several children’s books; designed cats, dogs, Bible and Noah collectors’ plates and figurines for the Franklin and Danbury Mints, including special series for McDonald’s, Pepsi, Gold Medal, The Pillsbury Doughboy and the New York Yankees; also a program and poster for the White House Easter Project.
Having been represented for years by galleries in New York City, Montreal, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, his originals are owned by doctors, lawyers, business men and women, plain folks and even a few celebrities.
