Linza

Dineen Serpa was born in Niagara Falls, New York. As an artist, she is known as "Linza," which is her mother's maiden name. She comes from a large artistic family; her grandfather was an oil painter, many male relatives are photographers... many female relatives are creative with paint, crochet, quilting and embroidery.

Linza has been painting and drawing since 1976. She attended Mesa Community College and studied under the tutelage of Darlene Swaim, Jim Garrison and Dana Mason. She then

studied Design at the Colorado Institute of Art.

She is equally at home rendering fine detail in still life as she is exploring paint textures and colors with abstract multimedia. In the last few years she has begun the reverse technique of painting on clear acrylic, using mineral hues and metallic layers. Her artistic style can be described as Abstract/Contemporary.
