West Chester, PA artist, Judy Antonelli, is a watercolorist whose paintings are vibrant and full of feeling. While she paints, she develops a rapport with her subject and her personal inner feeling blends with objective realism, giving a unique flavor to the subject.
A watercolor teacher for 30 years, she is currently painting in oil, pastel and watercolor. Judy has had 37 solo shows and in 1982 her award-winning book A Tribute to Cape May was published. Two international fine art card companies have reproduced her work. Major corporations such as Wilmington Trust Bank, MBNA Bank, McGraw‑Hill in New York and Bell Atlantic as well as private collectors throughout the United States have purchase Judy’s work. She was also feature in the Spring 1993 Watercolor issue of American Artist Magazine.
Judy attended Drexel University, The Barnestone Studio, and has studied with many fine artists such as Dominic DeStefano, A.W.S., Jean Dobie, A.W.S., Al Brouilette, A.W.S., Charles Reid, Nita Engle A.W.S., and Burt Silverman, A.W.S.
She is a member of the American Watercolor Society, Assoc. Member, Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, Signature Member and Board Member, and the Chester County Art Association.
Judy has won many awards including the Philadelphia Water Color Society’s 106th International Exhibition (W. Emerton Heitland Award) in 2006; Philadelphia Water Color Society, 1990, 1994 and 2004; Pastel Society of the South West, TX, 2002; La Fond Galleries National Pastel Competition, 2003; to name a few.
